This app is your one-stop shop for information on Scotland’s iconic historic attractions. Packed with essential information and beautiful imagery for Historic Scotland’s 77 staffed properties - including admission price, opening times, facilities and travel - this guide will help you research your next holiday or simply plan a day trip with the kids.

Intuitive and easy to use, the Historic Scotland app allows you to search by region or interest, with best for categories such as ‘families’, ‘gardens’, ‘picnics’ and ‘military history’ to choose from. You can also view all sites attractions on an interactive map of Scotland.

Not sure where you want to go? The app includes event information, articles and itinerary features, with new content added regularly to provide a source of inspiration. A view of Historic Scotland on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram gives you the latest ‘social buzz’ all in one place.

Minor visual amends for improved user experience 2.4.4 11/04/2020 Updated for iOS14
In iOS 14 you can now choose to turn precise location on or off. If you choose to make this change it will effect the accuracy and distance shown to sites. To make this clear to users, when precise location is "off" you will see "approx." in front of the distance for any given site. The radar view in the map of Scotland will also show a larger circle. 2.4.3 09/19/2020 A minor update to the banners and events screen. 2.4.2 08/13/2020 We've added a "FREE SITES" filter to Places to Visit and on the "By Region" tab.
